You’ve played basketball in both Canada & the US - what are the main differences?
Just knowing you are closer to home, and in familiar surroundings. Coming out of high school I traveled a lot of places, but Canada wasn't one of them, so it was all new for me. Arizona winters are much different, I'm sure that I will like Sacramento's weather also.
You were very professional while playing for the Grizzlies and never trashed it like some other players who have played in Canada. What are you going to miss about Vancouver?
The fans were great, I'll miss them. I'll also miss playing with Michael Dickerson and some of the other guys.
Did your normal summer routine change after being traded for the first time in your career?
I found a little more energy for doing my workouts. I was filled with a lot of anticipation for the upcoming season.
What have you been up to since April?
A lot of weight room, and a lot of shooting and playing and a little golfing with some Team Dime boys.
While playing with the Grizzlies you never really got to play and run & gun style like you excelled at in college. You’re not known as a flashy player, but now that you’re going to be playing with the ‘flashy’ Kings, do you think your style of play will change at?
I think the Kings traded for me because my style would make them better. I want to go into this season doing all the things that I do, but with more energy and precision. I think the players and the Kings style will help me be better and vice-versa.
Do you think the new defensive rules allowing zone will affect your game at all? A lot of people believe the zone defensive favors yourself and other great shooters - do you think it’s going to be any different?
It can't be much different than High School defenses or College. I think it will give me more shooting
