Mike wore a purple and white version of the Air Jordan XII Low during the Kings Christmas Day game against the Dallas Mavericks. The outside of the shoe is inscribed with Mike's #10, and the inside with "1Z" in memory of Mike's late friend, Anthony "1Z" Thompson. Mike later wore a similar version with more purple during the '03-'04 playoffs.
